For tradies who work alone
Matewise starts when you get to the job, knows the job, checks you're still moving and finishes when you leave. Most jobs need no taps at all. Isolating? One tap to log it, one to clear it.
Built by a sparky in Adelaide. Works on its own or with your job app. No card needed to join the list.
Demo runs fast: one second here is one minute on site. Orange outlined buttons stand in for things that happen on their own.
What makes it different
When you arrive at a booked job, the check-in starts on its own with the address, access notes and site contact already filled in. The timer is set from the task, and roof and ceiling spaces get shorter timers on hot days.
"Arrived Switchroom B. Roof space, 34° today: checking every 20 min"If your phone shows you've been walking or working since the last check-in, Matewise counts that as OK. It only asks "Still OK?" after you've been still for a while, and that's one tap.
"Movement since 9:40. Check-in confirmed automatically"Tap once (or tell Siri) and snap the isolation point. It goes in every alert, and when you leave it asks if the isolation is removed or left on purpose.
"Isolated: main switch, board B (photo attached)"The alert carries the job: the switchroom or roof space you're in, how to get in, what's isolated, who's on site, and plain steps for the person getting it.
"Ring Mick. No answer? Ring Dave, the building manager. Still nothing? Call 000."If your mates don't respond in time, Matewise rings the site contact from the job, who's metres away, not across town. Only switched on for jobs where they've agreed.
"Calling Dave (building manager), on site now"Leave the site and the check-in closes on its own, after one last isolation check if you logged one. Nobody gets a false alarm because you forgot to check out.
"Left site 11:42. Isolation removed. All good."How it works
Pick two or three mates (they don't need the app) and connect your job app or calendar, or use it on its own.
Arrive at the job and it starts itself, with the site details and the right timer.
Moving counts as OK. Tap once to log an isolation. If you've been still a while, it asks "Still OK?"
Drive off and it finishes itself. If something's wrong, your mates get the job card, then the site contact.

Questions
On most jobs, none. If you isolate, it's one tap to log it and one when you leave to say it's removed. If your phone hasn't moved for a while it asks "Still OK?", which is one tap. On iPhone, buttons on the lock screen need a quick unlock first.
No. On its own, Matewise notices when you've stopped somewhere during work hours and asks once if you're on a job. Sites you go back to regularly start by themselves. A job app or calendar just fills in more details, like the site contact and access notes.
We're planning direct links with ServiceM8, Fergus, Jobber and Housecall Pro (Housecall Pro's link needs their MAX plan), and calendar feeds for simPRO, AroFlo and Powered Now. Tradify doesn't currently let other apps connect, so Tradify users can use Matewise on its own. Tell us yours in the form.
That's how it knows you've arrived at or left a job without you opening it. Your location stays on your phone and is only shared in an alert.
No. Matewise alerts the people you choose. It doesn't call emergency services for you and isn't a monitored control room. If you're hurt, call your local emergency number.
No. It's a record and a reminder, so the people looking for you know what's isolated and you don't leave without dealing with it. Your normal isolation and lockout procedures still apply.
We're planning fall detection with an Apple Watch and on Android phones. iPhones don't let apps watch for falls in the background, so on an iPhone alone it relies on movement and timers.
No. It's switched on per job, and only for site contacts who've agreed to it. They're only called if your own contacts don't respond.
Your job details are saved when it starts, and the timer runs on our servers, so your mates still get the alert if your phone drops out.
No. They get a normal text message and a phone call.
